Willem Gruyter jr. (1817-1880) was a Dutch marine painter and etcher. He was born in Amsterdam and died in the same city. He was active in Amsterdam and was a member of 'Arti et Amicitiae' in 1853. He was the father of Jacob Willem Gruijter. He is known for his paintings and etchings of landscapes and marines.
