Biography:
Wim Zwiers (Willem Zwiers) was a Dutch artist born in Rotterdam in 1922 and died in Amsterdam in 2019. He was a graphic artist, primarily as a wood and copper engraver, but also as a draftsman and painter. He executed hundreds of ex libris, and his works have been exhibited in various museums, including the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, the Rijksmuseum, and the National Gallery of Art. He was also a director of the Minerva Art Academy in Groningen.
