Biography:
Kent Hagerman (also known as William Kent Hagerman or William Kay Hagerman) was a commercial and fine art printmaker of the early 20th Century. Born in Ohio, Hagerman began his studies at the Cleveland School of Art and the Sorbonne in Paris while serving in France during World War I. He produced newspaper and magazine illustrations and operated an engraving company in Denver with his brother Gale. Hagerman moved to Lakeland, Florida in 1933 and created sculptures and bas-reliefs of local leaders. His work was exhibited at the 1985 Lakeland City Centennial celebration. Kent Hagerman died three years after his wife's death in 1978 at the age of 85.
