“Moratin wrote El si de las niñas and married for the second time in Pastrana”. “Some people say that the Hilanderas [spinners] by Velazquez depict a taspestry in Pastrana. It is very likely so, but the traveller thinks that it would have been better for Pastrana to keep its tapestry than a marvellous painting of its tapestry, which –to top it all– is not in Pastrana either”.
