Franco Guerzoni is an Italian artist born in Modena in 1948. He began his personal exploration of the world of archaeology in the early seventies, with a special focus on the stratification of culture and the idea of antiquity as loss, subtraction, and stratification. His works have been exhibited in numerous museums and galleries, including the Museo del Novecento in Milan, the Civic Gallery of Contemporary Art in Trento, and the Civic Gallery of Modern Art in Bologna. In 2010, he published his autobiography, 'E se andassi in paradiso'. He is also known for his collaborations with other artists, including Franco Vaccari, Claudio Parmiggiani, Giuliano Della Casa, Carlo Cremaschi, and Luigi Ghirri.
