Heinrich Krieghoff was a German arms manufacturer who was born in Germany. He was the founder of Krieghoff Waffenfabrik, a smallish arms company that wanted to get into major contracts with the rearming German military in the 1930s. Krieghoff was known for being one of the scarce, small-production manufacturers of the Luger pistol. He also introduced the lightweight Dural as a material in hunting weapon construction in 1926 and developed a self-loading rifle and a hakenlose Flinte. Krieghoff also developed the legendary Krieghoff Drilling further. He is also known for manufacturing the FG 42/I parachutist rifle in 1942.
