Ishikawa Kinichiro was a Japanese painter and champion of Taiwanese Western art education. He studied watercolor painting in England and later taught at the Taipei Teacher’s College, founding Taiwan’s earliest art groups. Ishikawa is considered a pioneer of art education in Taiwan.
