Bunmi Babatunde is a Nigerian contemporary sculptor born in Ile-Ife in 1957. He got his ND and HND in 1981 and 1983 from the Yaba Institute of Technology, after which he went on to complete his National Youth Service Program. In 1984 he opened up his own studio and began his career as a professional artist. Bunmi Babatunde is known for his abstract ballet dancer sculptures and public art. He has exhibited extensively and is well-known in art circles for his graceful sculptures. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, including at the SMO Contemporary Art, Artnet, Artory, Google Arts & Culture, and Hourglass Gallery. He currently resides in Lagos, Nigeria.
