Olympia Werke AG was a German manufacturer of typewriters, office equipment, and computers. It was established in Berlin in 1903 as Union Schreibmaschinen-Gesellschaft m.b.H. by the Allgemeine Elektricitäts-Gesellschaft (AEG) to produce the Mignon typewriter. In 1912, the company began producing lever-action typewriters and expanded after World War I. In 1923, Olympia-Werke started producing adding machines under the Brunsviga brand. In 1930, the company was renamed Europa Schreibmaschinen AG. During World War II, Olympia-Werke used forced labor from concentration camps. After the war, the company's headquarters moved to Wilhelmshaven. In 1954, Olympia-Werke became an independent subsidiary of AEG. In 1968, it merged with Triumph-Adler to form Triumph-Adler-Olympia. In 1970, Olympia-Werke became part of AEG-Telefunken. In 1992, Olympia-Werke was dissolved.
