Shirakura Jihō (1896-1974) was a Japanese artist born in Yokosuka. He was known for his ink and color on silk paintings, particularly in the Taishō period (1912-1926). He was also known for his work in the art direction of video games in the 90s. The National Museum of Asian Art welcomes information that would augment or clarify the ownership history of objects in their collection, including Shirakura Jihō's works.
