Uto Gyoshi was a Japanese artist, known for his ukiyo-e ('pictures of the floating world') style. He was active during the Muromachi period (1392-1573) and was born in Edo, Japan in the second half of the 16th century. He is best known for his artwork 'Musk Cat'.
