Macià Canturri Vilamala was a Spanish painter born in Barcelona in 1868. He was a member of the Centre Artístic Sant Lluc and participated in numerous exhibitions in Barcelona, obtaining recognition in the city's art world. He specialized in landscape painting, particularly sea views. One of his most famous works is 'Girl on the beach', which depicts a beach scene with a female figure in the middle wearing wooden clogs and a handkerchief on her head. Canturri Vilamala died in Barcelona in 1948.
