Siegfried Lauterwasser was a German photographer born on April 16, 1913, in Überlingen. He trained as a photographer under his father Alexander Lauterwasser and later attended the Frankfurt vocational school from 1929 to 1931. In 1937, he passed his master's examination and became a member of fotoform in 1949. His photography style is characterized by subjective artistic combinations of movement, harmony, and light. He published his photographs in various magazines, books, and postcards. Lauterwasser was known for his work during World War II as a war reporter with the Luftwaffe on the Eastern Front. He received his Golden Master's Certificate in 1987 and passed away on September 7, 2000.
