Biografija:
Cornelis Kruseman was a Dutch painter, draughtsman, etcher, lithographer, silhouettist, paper-cut artist, and art collector. His works included portraits, biblical scenes, and depictions of Italian peasant life. He was born in Amsterdam in the Batavian Republic (the present-day Netherlands) as the son of Alexander Hendrik Kruseman and Cornelia Bötger. He was sometimes called ‘Italian Kruseman’ owing to his love for Italian art. After spending time in Italy, he became known as the ‘Raphael of the North.’ He was a Knight in the Order of the Netherlands Lion and Commander in the Order of the Oak Crown. He died in The Hague in the Netherlands.
