Frederick James Elliott, also known as Fred Elliott, was a marine painter born in Brisbane, Australia in 1865. He specialized in watercolor paintings and was active in Brisbane and later in Sydney. He worked for the Queensland Government Printing Office between 1896 and about 1903. His active period was from 1890 to 1930. He is known for his marine subjects and usually painted in watercolor.
