George Leman Tuthill was an English physician born in Halesworth, England in 1772. He was educated at Caius College, Cambridge and received his medical degree in 1816. Tuthill was elected to the Royal Society in 1810 and was a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. He was a physician to the Westminster Hospital and Bridewell and Bethlehem Hospitals. Tuthill was knighted in 1820. He was also a painter and exhibited works in Britain between 1824 and 1826. Tuthill died in 1835.
