Gregory Raymond Halili is a Filipino artist born in Manila, Philippines in 1975. He received his B.F.A. from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Halili is known for carving and painting mother-of-pearl shells, creating memento moris that are inspired by his experiences living between the Philippines and the United States. His works often investigate the relationship between life and death, and the beauty of the natural world.
