Joan Rebull i Torroja (Reus, 1897 - Barcelona, 1981) was a Catalan sculptor. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona and at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid. He was a professor at the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona and at the Academy of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi. He was awarded the Gold Medal of the Generalitat of Catalonia in 1978. His work is characterized by its realism and its themes related to the human figure. He is considered one of the most important sculptors of the 20th century in Catalonia.
