Lillian Orloff was an American artist, born on May 24, 1898, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the daughter of Russian immigrants who operated a grocery store in Buffalo, New York. Later, she relocated to Cleveland, Ohio, where she earned a law degree and became interested in art. Orloff attended the Art Students League of New York and was influenced by the Indian Space Painters movement. She was also a member of Atelier 17, an influential printmaking studio in Paris and New York City. Orloff's artwork includes paintings, etchings, and lithographs, often depicting landscapes and still-life compositions. Her work is held in collections such as the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Akron Art Museum.
