Lisa Sanditz is a contemporary painter who explores the intersections of nature, culture and commerce in her vibrant landscapes. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1973 and received her B.A. from Wesleyan University and her M.F.A. from the Rhode Island School of Design. Sanditz has had solo exhibitions at CRG Gallery in New York, the University of Michigan Museum of Art, and the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City, among others. Her work has been included in group exhibitions at the Brooklyn Museum, the Saatchi Gallery in London, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Sanditz is currently an Artist in Resident at Bard College. She and fellow artist Emily Sartor, recently finished a collaborative artists’ map entitled, “Thrilling Tales and Startling Adventures - Unofficial Guide to Pollinators of the Hudson Valley, 2021.”
