Geppa Dōin was a Japanese artist born in 1637 and died in 1716. He was a master of ink drawing and calligraphy. His most famous work is an ink drawing of Bodhidharma sitting facing the wall, which is made on silk. The work is currently in the collection of the Watanabe Japanese Fine Arts.
