Alcide-Joseph Lorentz was a French painter, draftsman, and printmaker. He gained a strong reputation for his historical art, particularly scenes involving the campaigns of Napoleon. Lorentz exhibited at the Paris Salons during the 1840s and was known for his lithographs and caricatures.
