Biografi:

Dionys van Nijmegen was born in Rotterdam, Netherlands in 1705. He was a pupil of his father Elias van Nijmegen and Jacob de Wit. He became a member of the Rotterdam Guild of St. Luke in 1743 and is known for his portraits and wall and ceiling decorations. He was the father and teacher of Gerard van Nijmegen. He died in Rotterdam in 1798.
