Otto Poertzel was a German artist, known for his naturalistic Art Deco sculptures of dancers, bathers, and film stars. He was born in Scheibe, Germany in 1876 and died in Coburg, Germany in 1963. Poertzel is known for his elongated dance figure sculptures of bronze, ivory, and porcelain. He is represented in the Art Deco Museum in Moscow, Russia with his work 'The Top'.
