Biografi:
Léna Bergner, also known as Lena Meyer-Bergner, was a German artist born in Coburg, Germany in 1906. She studied at the Professional School of Applied Arts in Coburg and at the Bauhaus in Dessau. Bergner was a star student in the Bauhaus weaving workshop and was given a special leave of absence in 1929 to take on a job. She worked as the technical design director for the Taller de Gráfica Popular (TGP) in Mexico City from 1939 to 1949. Bergner's work has been exhibited at various institutions, including the Harvard Art Museums, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Museum of Modern Art. She died in Bad Soden, Germany in 1981.
