TAKESHI Akira is a fictional character from the manga and anime series 'Akira' created by Katsuhiro Otomo. He is one of the Espers, a group of psychic children cared for by the government of Neo-Tokyo. Takashi plays an important role in Tetsuo Shima's psychic awakening as well as Neo-Tokyo's destruction.
