Biografi:
Vittore Zanetti Zilla, also known as Vettore Zanetti Zilla, was an Italian painter born in Venice, Italy in 1864. He studied painting in Venice under the guidance of Giacomo Favretto, a family friend. After obtaining his secondary school certificate in 1882, he learned the rudiments of art under the guidance of Egisto Lancerotto. He served in the military in Naples and Sicily, and later worked as a teacher in Abruzzo. In 1898, he traveled through Europe and developed close contacts with French landscapists. He participated in the first edition of the Esposizioni Internazionali d’Arte di Venezia from 1895 onwards, and exhibited in international exhibitions in Munich in 1893 and Buenos Aires in 1910. He was known for his lagoon scapes characterized by a decorative style exhibiting French influences. He died in Milan, Italy in 1946.
