Biografi:
Vyacheslav Okunev is a Russian costume designer born in Leningrad. He studied at the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography (studio of I. Segal). While still a student, he was invited to work with the Maly Opera and the Kirov Theatres. He has worked as a set and costume designer on over two hundred productions since 1975. His major works include Love for Three Oranges, Sadko, Le nozze di Figaro, Mazepa, Khovanshchina, and Petrouchka at the Mariinsky Theatre; La Sylphide and Russian Hamlet at the Bolshoi Theatre; Eugene Onegin and The Falcon at the St Petersburg Chamber Opera Company; recent productions of the Boris Eifman State Academic Ballet Theatre; and Tosca, Carmen, La traviata, and Rigoletto at the State Academic Musorgsky Theatre of Opera and Ballet. He has also worked with international theaters such as the Theatre Royal in Glasgow, the Greek National Opera, the National Theatres in Seoul and Tokyo, and the Teatro Cagliari in Italy.
