Biografi:
Zahidah Zeytoun Millie is a multidisciplinary artist whose work navigates the delicate boundaries between life and death, humanity and Nature. She was influenced profoundly by poetry, mythology, history, science, and philosophy. Zahidah grew up in Latakia and studied economics at Tishreen University in Lattakia, Syria. She finished a Fine Arts degree in Beirut, Lebanon. Her art practice is mystical and connected to poetry, music, mythology, ecology, and philosophy. She works upon different media: sculpture, ceramic, paper, glass, and canvas. Zahidah explores the subject of mangroves as a means to generate awareness of the destruction of her homeland Syria and environmental concerns. She has found the mangroves a source of power, beauty, energy, and simplicity. Zahidah aims to protect our mother Earth and to generate peace and love on land through her art.
