Una principessa di grande apprendimento e bellezza, Santa Caterina d'Alessandria (quarto secolo) è stata sfidata ad un dibattito con cinquanta oratori pagani, tutti che si è convertita al cristianesimo. Qui conta i punti della sua disputa a due uomini che indossano le aloe come indicazione della loro conversione da parte dei suoi argomenti (e del futuro martirio dell'imperatore Maxentius). Due donatori diminutivi che indossano le abitudini dei terziari francescani in ginocchio a sinistra. Il dipinto risale a circa 1380.
