La Casa Capitolare per il monastero di Santa Croce è stata commissionata dalla potente famiglia Pazzi ed è conosciuta come Cappella Pazzi. Anche se la struttura può essere stata progettata c. 1423-24, la costruzione non è iniziata fino al 1442 ed è stata solo terminata c. 1465. Il design della facciata, ancora incompiuto, si basa solo parzialmente sul disegno di Brunelleschi. Il piano e l'interno, tuttavia, rappresentano un'amplificazione e un consolidamento dei principi annunciati in precedenza nella Sagrestia di San Lorenzo di Brunelleschi.
