Questa tazza è stata fatta da un disegno di John Flaxman. Il disegno è preso dalla descrizione di una tazza di bere dal poeta greco Theocritus (c. 300-260 a.C.) nel suo primo Idyll. Da un lato è una fanciulla con due giovani in competizione per il suo favore. L'altro lato mostra un pescatore e un ragazzo seduto su un muro. Paul Storr era il più grande argentiere inglese del periodo Regency. Ha lavorato in stile neoclassico, spesso al disegno di noti scultori come John Flaxman, ed è stato molto impiegato dalla famiglia reale. Oltre a produrre coppe e goblets sottili di un design semplice ed elegante, è stato adattato a fare pezzi di piastra di presentazione. Questi erano in grande richiesta per scopi commemorativi dopo le guerre napoleoniche.
