Avril Danica Thomas is a Malaysian-born artist who has enjoyed a lifetime of drawing. She was born in Kuala Lumpur in 1956 and went to boarding school in Scotland and Australia. Although she has always enjoyed drawing, she didn't consider it as a career until she was asked to teach art in Queensland. Her focus is portraiture in charcoal, graphite, pastel, and oil, all with a tonal realist style. Her works can be found in Hong Kong, the USA, and around Australia.
