Huang Zuo (1490–1566), also known as Huang Caibo or Taiquan, was a Chinese scholar and politician during the Ming dynasty. He was born in Xiangshan (now Zhongshan) city of Guangdong province. As an accomplished writer and historian, he is best known for his work "Guangzhou Ren Wu Chuan" which chronicles the lives of notable figures from Guangzhou. Huang Zuo was also a prominent figure in Lingnan University where he taught and mentored many students.
