Ismail Taxta is a Mogadishu-based photojournalist specialising in development, news and sports. He has been photographing a national polio vaccination campaign in Mogadishu, Somalia, implemented by UNICEF, which is vaccinating 2.6 million children under five years of age. Taxta has also worked with the World Health Organization (WHO) in Somalia, documenting their work during the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2022 drought. He has published his work on Medium and Arete Stories.
