Lufta Chitrakar, also known as Lufta Ram Chitrakar, is a traditional artist from Kathmandu, Nepal. He was born in 1944 and started painting at a young age. Lufta Chitrakar is known for his Paubha paintings, which are a traditional style of painting in Nepal. He has opened his own studio, Simrik Atelier, to preserve and promote this ancient tradition. Lufta Chitrakar's work has been exhibited in various exhibitions, including the Kathmandu Triennale. He is considered one of the most prominent Paubha painters in Nepal today.
