Mir Kalan Khan was an Indian artist who was active at the court of Muhammad Shah in Delhi and for Shuja’ al-Dawla, Nawab of Awadh, around 1730-1770. He is known for his paintings that show European influences, and is considered to be one of the most important artists of the late Mughal period.
