Petr Petrovich Konchalovsky (also trans. Petr; Russian: Пётр Петрович Кончаловский; 21 February 1876 – 2 February 1956) was a Russian and Soviet painter, a member of the Knave of Diamonds group. He was born in Tver, Russia in 1876 and died in 1956. Konchalovsky was known for his paintings in the style of Russian Impressionism and Cubism. He was a prominent figure in the Russian avant-garde movement and his works are held in high regard in the world of art. Konchalovsky's paintings often depicted still lifes, landscapes, and portraits, and his use of color and light was particularly noteworthy. He was a recipient of numerous awards and honors during his career, including the title of People's Artist of the USSR.
