전기:
Sorel Etrog was a Romanian-born, Jewish-Canadian sculptor. His work is best understood in the context of early twentieth-century and interwar European avant-garde. He was born in Timisoara, Romania in 1933 and died in Toronto, Canada in 2014. He studied in Israel and the United States, and became a true international artist. His work explores his first-hand experience of the Second World War, the renewal of sculptural traditions in modern art, such as the use of bronze as a medium, and the opposition between the mechanical and the organic. He was one of Canada's leading artists in the 1960s and contributed to the country's growing interest in sculpture.
