Ferdinand Plitzner was a German cabinet maker, born in 1678 and died in 1724. He is best known for his elaborate furniture with Boulle marquetry, and the Spiegelkabinett, a mirrored porcelain room that he created in 1719 at Schloss Weissenstein for Lothar Franz von Schönborn. He is considered one of the most important German cabinetmakers of the early 18th century.
