Toots Zynsky, also known as Mary Ann Zynsky, is an American glass artist born in 1951 in Boston. She studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and later worked with Dale Chihuly at the Pilchuck Glass School. She has developed a unique technique called filet-de-verre, which involves pulling fine threads from glass canes. Zynsky's work has been exhibited worldwide, and she has received numerous awards, including the Rakow Commission in 1988. Her work is part of the collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Seattle Art Museum.
