Alejandro Cartagena is a Mexican photographer, born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in 1977. His work is held in the collections of the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and Santa Barbara Museum of Art. Cartagena has been shortlisted for the 2021 Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize.
