Biografi:

Carl Friedrich Thienpondt was born in Berlin, Germany in 1730. He was a pupil of Antoine Pesne from 1745 and took up miniature painting in 1751. In 1753, he went to Dresden to study with Ismael Mengs. He later settled in Warsaw, where he was much sought after as a miniature painter. Thienpondt died in 1796.
