Carme Balada i Domingo is a ceramist artist born in Barcelona, Spain in 1957. She studied ceramics at the Massana Art School in Barcelona and took different experimental courses. She has exhibited her work in various galleries and art fairs, and her pieces are part of private and public collections. Balada's work is characterized by its organic forms and the use of color, which she applies using different techniques such as engobe and oxides. She has also worked in collaboration with designers and architects, creating pieces for interior design projects. In addition to her work as an artist, Balada has also taught ceramics and has given workshops and conferences in different institutions. She has received several awards and recognitions for her work, including the Creu de Sant Jordi Award in 2018.
