Edward Francis Finden, also known as Edward Finden, was a British engraver born in London in 1791 and died in the same city in 1857. He was the younger brother and coadjutor of William Finden, with whom he shared successes and fortunes. Edward Finden executed some separate works, including a set of etchings for Richard Duppa's Miscellaneous Opinions and Observations on the Continent (1825) and Illustrations of the Vaudois in a Series of Views (1831). He also contributed to the illustrations of annuals, books of beauty, poetry, and other sentimental works in vogue at the time. Among his engravings are The Harvest Waggon after Thomas Gainsborough, As Happy as a King after William Collins, Captain Macheath in Prison after Gilbert Stuart Newton, The Little Gleaner after Sir William Beechey, The Princess Victoria after Richard Westall, and Othello telling his Exploits to Brabantio and Desdemona after Douglas Cowper. He also collaborated with landscape painter James Duffield Harding. Edward Finden died at St. John's Wood in London in 1857.
