Eugen Batz was a German photographer and painter. He was born in Stuttgart, Germany in 1905 and died in 1986. Batz was a member of the New Objectivity movement and was known for his abstract photographs and paintings. He was also a member of the Bauhaus movement and taught at the Bauhaus school in Dessau. Batz's work has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. He is considered to be one of the most important photographers and painters of the 20th century.
