Biografia:

Hidaka Tetsuo was a monk and painter who studied Chinese painting. He traveled through Kyoto, Osaka, and Edo at the age of 56, and along the way befriended Yasuda Rōzan. He was a well-known figure in Bunjinga circles in the Kansai region. He was born in Hine village near Osaka, lived in Kyoto, and died in 1871.
