Ranjith Kally, also known as Kallicharan Kally, was an anti-apartheid photojournalist born in Isipingo, South Africa in 1925. His father, Kallicharan, worked in the sugarcane fields as an overseer. Kally began his photography career at the age of 14. He passed away in 2017 at the age of 91.
