Biografia:

Mitani Tōshuku (三谷等宿, 1577–1654) was a Japanese painter of the Edo period. He was a prominent member of the Unkoku school, founded by Unkoku Togan (1547–1618), a master of the Momoyama period. Mitani Tōshuku painted in a manner very similar to his master, Togan, and was known for his depictions of birds and flowers. He did not use the Unkoku name, but his works are considered to be of the Unkoku school. Mitani Tōshuku was born in Yamaguchi, Japan, and died in 1654.
