Biografia:

Nakabayashi Chikkei (中林 竹慶, 1801–1867) was a Japanese painter in the nanga style. He was the son of Nakabayashi Chikutō, also a nanga painter. Chikkei was known for his Chinese-style landscapes and figures. He was a member of the Kyoto nanga group and was influenced by the works of Gion Nankai and Yamamoto Baiitsu. Chikkei's works can be found in the collections of several museums, including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Harvard Art Museums.
